Project of late: Operation Garden.
We recently met a new neighbor.
He: "what are you building?"
We: "a new garden"
He: "yeahhh self-sustainability"
I'm pretty sure he was just jealous.
Michael leveled out the old garden:
Growth currently slow:
Spinach - no. Arugula - no. Basil - no. Parsley? heck yes!
Site of new garden:
Better get enough sun all the way out here!
I think Michael nearly cried when it was time to shovel out his beloved grass bed to make room for new dirt:
Luckily it was able to be transplanted to another yard locale.
Ta-da!
Only moments until we are bustling with big juicy tomatoes, crisp cukes, succulent squash and on and on.
It's pretty close to the road. The Harrises' might do a drive by tomato swipe! :)
