Day 8

Yesterday, we got up at 4:45 to go for a group ride from the Y. The only other times we have attempted to ride with 'real cyclists' was about this time last year. On that trip, we were left in the dust. Yesterday, we were up with the front of the pack! I thought we were doing so well until I tried to change gears going up hill. Rookie mistake. Chain off. For a normal biker, this may not be a problem. For me, putting a chain back on in the dark = enough time to loose the pack. To make matters worse, as we furiously pedaled to catch our group, an insane fast pack of riders blew by us. Ho hum. Better luck next year.

Anyways, I know you are just dying to see the progress from yesterday, so I keep you waiting no longer.

Lumber arrives in the AM:

Doesn't look like much progress was made since the day before, but JTC was a busy little bumble bee. You just must look closely.

New crawl space/dungeon:

Prime location for dead rats if you ask me.

Looking out into backyard:

Where the deck shall lay:

Holes in roof - do not look good to me. Lucky for JTC, I trust he knows what he is doing.
