Holy Soreness

This weekend we went on a grand backpacking adventure on the AT from Max Patch to Hot Springs. Saturday was great fun. Sunday was torture. Okay, not exactly torture, but it was 12 miles of mainly downhill hiking with a heavy pack and blistery heels = extreme burning in the calves and thighs. Michael and I have been waddling around like little penguins all day.

I am sure you have been wondering about the addition all weekend long. But progress from Day 10 was not amazing, as you can see:

JTC rigged a covering in case it rained. I honestly thought he just chucked it up there and was coming back later to secure it. Not the case. Lets just hope for no thunderstorms.

In other exciting news, Michael's other best friend just had his first baby yesterday! A girl! Miss Piper is adorable and I cannot wait to meet her. Congratulations Richie and Laura!!
