Hawai'i! (aka. the Big Island). We flew into Hilo, which was pretty much the pits. Looked like we walked into a time warp of the 70's. Nothing had been updated, including our hotel. Yesterday after work stuff, we drove across to Kona via route of the Volcano National Park. It was so awesome! We saw lots of liquid hot magma:

Ok, not really. Despite the pouring rain, we decided to attempt a hike across the lava fields. We of course got lost (3rd time we have gotten lost on a hike on this trip). Eventually, we reached the 'viewing spot'. And guess what we saw? Squat. It was the total pits. Therefore, I pretend we saw the above.
Today after work, we toured a coffee farm in the rain (apparently it rains 75 inches a yr there). It was neat. Now we're sitting on the porch at this place listening to the rain, sipping a brew and gazing down at the ocean. I can't complain.
Where I sit as we speak:

View I would be seeing if it wasn't raining:

So anyways, here are the pics from days 23-24ish. I'm getting into the ish because I am in vacation mode and can no longer keep track of days.
