On the Road Again, Again

Yesterday I had to leave on a jet plane. Not sure when I'll be back again. Ok, not really, I'll be back tomorrow night.

It is late.
Today I worked from 6am to 8pm straight.
I am getting sick and have lost my voice.
I wish National had given me a Rolls Royce.
I know you are wanting to play our little guessing game.
But my thoughts are jumbled and it would likely turn out lame.

Two clues:

• I have been to this city before (approximately a month ago)
• The state is shaped like a backwards gun
