Charlotte Represent

If you get House Beautiful, you probably noticed that the house on the cover of the latest edition is located in Charlotte:

I learned from another Charlotte blogger's post that this little gym is on the market. It's in Myer's Park (of course) and is listed for a lofty 1,875,000, which is up 350,000 from the purchase price in May of 2010. Considering the couple "basically bought [the house] online" and flew in their interior designer from NYC to completely re-do the place, it very well could've cost that much to get its new look.

Outside shot:

I may or may not be including this street on my run route this afternoon. :)

In the article, the decorator's comment about the living room curtains "..we didn't spare expense. It was our big splurge." made me very curious about the price/yard since I'm new to this whole fabric thing.

A better look at the 'big splurge':

I found the website for the fabric, but had no luck in locating a price.

I have a feeling it was quite lofty though since the Kravet $90/yard fabric used in the kitchen was not mentioned as being pricey:

Here are some more shots of the lovely house.
