I had today off work. For this, I was very thankful. I spent a majority of today (and yesterday) trying to figure out next steps for our office and bedroom window treatments. Google and YouTube taught me lots about making cornices. This is the best video I found (this link is part 3, you can find parts 1 and 2 on there too).
Yesterday, I spent a good hour at Bed, Bath and Beyond trying to pick out hardware for window drapery. You would think I was making a crucial life decision, like what to name my first born child.
The one I ended up taking home looked something like the below:

via. This is not the exact one, but I gave-up trying to find it b/c their website sucks so much.
Unfortunately, I bought the wrong size rods, which meant another trip back to BB&B today.
Lucky for me though, JoAnn's fabric is having 50% off basically the entire store. This included two main things I needed: foam & bonded polyester for the cornice boards as well as all drapery hardware. Sorry BB&B, JoAnn's wins.
Hardware selection #2:

We did learn one great thing today: Lowe's online shopping is the best! Michael placed an online order for all the wood pieces for the cornice parts and by the time I got there, they were all ready to load me up! If only JoAnn's Fabrics had such a service...
