Week One

During the first couple of days at the apartment we have discovered the:

• AC unit rattles like thunder. To hear one another, we must be within 5 feet.
• Dishwasher rattles like thunder. To hear one another, we must be within 5 feet.
• Smoke alarm goes off quite often. After every cooking attempt to be exact.
• Shower head reaches my chin. If that. Therefore, I get my daily practice at the limbo. 
• Shower crevices spit out strange black and brown specks. 
• Apartment reception smells like a tanning bed. Free tans for all tenants perhaps?
• Lack of washer and dryer is not so fun.
• Lack of microwave makes reheating meals inventive. 

But you know what the good part is? We get to spend lots of quality time together in our close quarters. And getting our new house is going to be that much more rewarding.
