Permanent vacation?

I wish I could be on vacation permanently. Or just live at the beach. I'd settle for that.

So the beach trip was great, as to be expected. We got lots of beach time, lots of delicious seafood and lots of time with family and the precious little Tatum. Now it's get serious about nesting time until bambino decides to make his/her arrival. Our weekends at home between now and then: 10. Ten! That's it! Time to buckle down.

My to-do list includes:

  • Pendant light for nursery (that was checked off yesterday but alas, the pendant light we bought is so bright it'd blind the baby. And the neighbor's baby.)
  • Fabric to recover nursery rocker
  • Paint nursery closet
  • Repaint nursery dresser
  • Knobs for nursery dresser
  • Fabric for nursery
  • Make cornices or Roman shades, bed skirt and pillow out of aforementioned fabric
  • Art for nursery (including one commisioned by the husband)
  • Lamp for nursery
  • Make cornice for master bath
  • Make a set of curtains for master (so we don't have a naked window forever)
  • Paint master (taping complete!)
  • Re-paint guest room ceiling. First two attempts failed. Why do they not make only one shade of white ceiling paint? This would make my life much easier.
Speaking of to-do lists, have you discovered Wunderlist? If you like making lists even just a little, you should DL it. It's simply the best.
