Today the high in Boston was 86. The remainder of the week, the high is 63. For the first time ever, the Boston Marathon allowed participants to defer a year due to the heat. On their website, they posted the following warning:
"The weather conditions that we will be seeing on Monday, April 16 will involve even more risk. It will involve an increased element of risk to all participants due to the heat. Only the fittest runners should consider participating."
Despite this, my speedster sis finished in one piece with no walking at all. Not many people can say they've run the Boston. A big congratulations to my hermana!!
